Cette Histoire d’Amour et de Désir vous laissera dubitatif sur les
intentions ou les ambitions de la réalisatrice. Elle renverse bien les rôles et
la femme devient celle qui chasse l’homme qui est un piètre gibier. Mais ce
tableau n’a pas de racines. Quelques flashbacks auraient pu éclairer la cause
de l’attitude d’Ahmed, réservé comme un crabe qui avance à reculons tellement
il a sacralisé l’objet peut-être possible de son désir, s’il en a un, de désir.
La réalisatrice a manqué l’enjeu du « grand-frère » dans la
sexualité des garçons maghrébins et musulmans. C’est cette aliénation du petit frère qui est la cause de tous les
comportements qui surprennent chez les adultes mâles de cette culture. Ainsi
donc et par conséquent on finit avec le désir aliéné de l’homme capturé par le
désir libéré de la femme, au grand dam de la morale de l’homme inscrite dans
des siècles d’abstinence.
Et ce n’est pas la Sorbonne qui va changner cela. La Sorbonne n’a jamais rien changé au cosmos. Ils ont même prêché la terre plate comme une assiette jusqu’à ce que Galilée se renie en concluant : « Mais il n’empêche qu’elle tourne. » Tourne comme une boule suir son axe ? Ou bien tourne comme une assiette qui ne serait qu’un frizbee de Dieu ?
Dommage. J’attendais mieux de ce film.

La trevue Théâtres du Monde, une année de
plus, nous offre plus de 350 pages de cogitations, parfois sublimes sur tout le
théâtre, tous les théâtres du monde qui traitent de la jeunesse et de la
vieillesse. « À moi, comte, deux mots. » Le petit jeune se prend de
bouche avec le vieux qui pourrait être au moins son père. Mais le sort de ce
duel sort des alexandrins. « N’ai-je donc tant vécu que pour cette
infamie ? » Et c’est que notre mémoire rajoute en ricanant :
« Rien ne sert de courir il faut partir à point. » Et un merle
moqueur nous siffle à l’oreille : « Pour qui sont ces serpents qui
sifflent sur nos têtes ? » Mais la victoire en chantant arrive
parfois plus vite que prévue. « Que voulez-vous qu’il fît ? Qu’il
mourût ! » Et c’est ainsi que « Nous partîmes cinq cents, mais
par un prompt renfort, Nous nous vîmes trois mille en arrivant au
port ! »
Ainsi tous les ans en Juillet Clément VI,
l’avant dernier Pape d’Avignon s’en retourne dans sa tombe, un retour pour sûr,
puisque sa tombe est à La Chaise-Dieu. Remercions tous nos seigneurs et
saigneurs que ce plaisir du théâtre puisse durer tous les ans depuis si
longtemps.
Voilà pour vous tous, le sommaire complet du,
numéro 35 de 2025. Vingt-six articles de dix-neuf auteurs, vaste palette plus
que variée, et rien que des chiffres chargés de mystère, 26 ou deux fois 13 et
19 le chiffre premier le plus dangereux qui soit, puisqu’il est un de plus que
deux fois neuf, l’apocalypse.
La revue Théâtres du Monde est publiée annuellement depuis 1991 (trente cinq numéros publiés de 1991 à 2025), conformément aux statuts de l’Association de Recherches Internationales sur les Arts du Spectacle (ARIAS), association déclarée à la Préfecture de Vaucluse (publication au Journal Officiel de la République française ‘Associations’ du 11 décembre 1991).
L’objet de cette association est de
« promouvoir toute activité ou manifestation à caractère pédagogique et
scientifique sur le thème des arts du spectacle dans le monde ; publication des
travaux de recherche liés à ses activités ou manifestations ». Dans le cadre
de cette association sont publiés :
1) la revue annuelle Théâtres du
Monde (trente cinq numéros publiés de 1991 à 2025).
2) des ouvrages, dont la parution est
irrégulière, dans le cadre de la collection Theatrum Mundi (six ouvrages
publiés jusqu’ici, sur les théâtres anglais, espagnol et allemand).
3) des numéros hors-série (actes de colloques,
hommages et témoignages, etc.) : six numéros publiés à la date de 2025.

From his beginnings to his escaping McCarthyism in the USA and using his British passport to find refuge in the UK. He was not expelled, as some President nowadays loves doing with Latinos, but he was clearly under the menace of some prosecution and prison term if he did not disappear from Hollywood which was being purged most brutally by McCarthy, a very bad “gene” of American politics, but there is always a bad rotten egg in a basket of red apples, and red is definitely not the good side of the road.
So he can die on the stage and the screen before leaving this hectic and unpredictable country after a last caper, a last wave, and a last smile at the irony of his life and career.

The series was, in fact, too short. ”Arthur Conan Doyle wrote 62 stories of Sherlock Holmes published between 1887 and 1927. The 62 stories include 4 novels and 58 short stories starring Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.” (the Arthur Conan Doyle Encyclopedia) This project was to transfer the stories to the modern world and that was needed for the cases to speak to a modern and young audience. To achieve this goal the BBC had to use special effects and complicated contraptions to make us believe we are dealing with miraculous cliffhanging solutions, but the producers were very careful to reveal the tricks in the next episodes.

But that enabled the producers to give a vision of our society with all the evils of our modern times when we absolutely cannot trust anyone to keep their opinions and their promises longer than one hour, one day, or one week like Donald Trump changing his position on Ukraine as often as he changes socks. And in this world of betrayal and inconsistency, we can only pray to the devil to keep angels in line and help the blind god of ours to see beyond his total cataract.

THE detective story is a typical literary genre in Great Britain and the United Kingdom. It started in the 19th century when novels and books were published in small booklets that only gave one chapter of a long novel, one chapter every time the village distributor, often moving from one village to the next in time, hence coming to one particular village, once a month, every four weeks. The readers had been hanging over the cliff at the end of the previous episode, hoping the vendor or distributor would have already, and still, the next chapter, the next installment. That was a loan on the future of a detective story. You had a great number of authors in that business, with Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, and the Bronte sisters among them.
This Collection is a selected list of authors and stories representative of the time and the literary genius of a whole country that was imitated, at times later, by the Americans, the French, the Germans, and many others. You can read or watch it as a mirror of the 19th century and this divine activity that we call crime because there is a God for drunkards, criminals, and rapists, as is well known.

Follow the Bear and you might get the prize

This series does not bring many questions to mind because it is more of a cultural trip to a famous city that has nothing to do with crime, the city of Bath, the highly fashionable Spa of the capitalist era in the 19th century, under Victoria and her successors. It has become a year-round tourist destination, nearly a tourist trap. What's funny is that it is midway (or nearly so) between Bristol and Paddington Station in London. Tourist advisors consider the London-Bath-Bristol trip to be worth one or two days with the spa itself in Bath and the suspended bridge to Wales in Bristol. There is a lot more in Bristol, even cultural or dangerous, but Bath is a city for peaceful, quiet, and cozy people, not adventurers or mile-trotters.
So take your patience in your front pocket and your credit card in your back pocket, and since you are on a trip from London, stop over in Reading and remember Oscar Wilde and his short vacation in the prison of this intellectual city of Reading, for gay exploration adventures with the son of a noble Lord, or somebody of the type who will remain faithful to the poet and playwright all his life. Nostalgia is all we have left when the future seems denied to us by age, weather turbulences, and crazy capers blocking any view of what the future could be. So let's imagine Bath could be an interesting crime nest or cocoon.

Tout toujours nous ramène aux Papes d'Avignon.
AVIGNON NOUS TIENT ENCHAINÉS AU THÉÂTRE
La revue Théâtres du Monde vient de sortir son trente-cinquième volume et fête donc sa trente-cinquième année d'existence à l'Université d'Avignon à laquelle l'Université de Lorraine s'est rattachée depuis quelques années. Le thème de cette année 2025 était « Jeunesse et Vieillesse au Théâtre » comme si on pouvait vieillir au théâtre alors que nous savons tous que « le show must go on », même réchauffé, que la fanfaronnade doit se poursuivre, comme le petit chien de Chopin.
Je n'ai donné que le premier volet d'un travail sur un opéra chinois (de dix-neuf heures dans la version présentée au Festival d'Automne de Paris en 1999) Les personnages sont classés par types d'âge, de sexe, parfois d'autres critères, et les acteurs qui les incarnent n'ont aucune obligation de respecter ces éléments définitionnels, un homme pouvant jouer une femme, et vice versa, un jeune pouvant jouer un vieux, et vice versa. Imaginez Roméo et ses quinze ans à peine pubères joué par le même acteur pendant trente ans, à 16 ans la première fois et à 46 ans la dernière. Ah !!! la scène de la nuit d'amour qui pourrait facilement tomber dans l'infantilisme ou même la pédophillie si Juliette elle restait ancrée à une actrice de seize ans.
La deuxième chose à prendre en compte dans cette première approche est la traduction de l'entier du texte faite pour le Festival d'Automne et qui compte des rajouts didascaliens, historiques, et autres. Mais ce texte en français ne rend pas la poésie du texte d'origine car il est pour l'essentiel, sauf très brève interruiption, entièrement en prose, donc non-rimé, non rythmé, sans tempo autre que la marche lourde du passant aux pieds nus chaussés de godillots mal ajustés et délacés.
Je consacrerai la prochaine lilvraison en 2026 – si mon cœur m'autorise un tel excès – à l'approche de la matière territoriale et historique et des déplacements parfois énormes des personnages et de l'action avec une guerre contre l'empereur de Chine et la défense par la population contre les envahisseurs. Je travaillerai alors sur la traduction intégrale en ang lais récente et qui fait le pari de rendre poétiquement la langue poétique de l'original. Je ne jugerai que la version anglaise.
Et je consacrerai – si tous les dieux, dont les dieux guerriers m'autorisent, Merci Mercure tout en haut du Puy de Dôme – une troisième livraison au spectacle dont nous avons deux ou trois extraits sur Youtube, un DVD de deux heures produit par le Festival d'Automne et, si possible, un accès aux archives enregistrées du-dit Festival d'Automne. Mais ce sera en 2027. Et bien de l'eau aura coulé sous le Pont Mirabeau, j'approcherai alors de l'âge limite de mon espèce d'intellectuel rigolo qui porte un chapeau à la Zozo.
