Loin de moi de faire
un panégyrique du Front Populaire qui n’est plus d’actualité dans la société
d’aujourd’hui tellement les choses ont changé, même si la lutte pour l’égalité
de tous et la liberté de tous, d’expression de mouvement, de travail, de
pensée, de religion et bien d’autres encore sont toujours d’actualité. Mais les
mobilisations de rue sont aujourd’hui les otages des commandos para-sociaux
clandestins de ce que certains considèrent les banlieues alors que leurs
organisateurs sont issus de la classe moyenne parfois supérieure. Le sens de
l’aventure violente n’a pas de limites mentales et encore moins de limites
sociales.
Plus donc que faire
le panégyrique, je vais donner en accompagnement de documents visuels centrés
sur le Front Populaire et son époque artistique quelques textes récents où je
mets en abîme le Front Populaire comme un héritage culturel, tout comme la pièce
de 1986, “36 Sans Épouvante et Sans Souliers », était
principalement un montage de textes poétiques de l’époque et un accompagnement

croyez pas qu’il soit si simple que cela de survivre dans la Gironde si on est
une civelle ou une pibale.
Nous sommes en 2032, 10 ans après la Révolution des Roses. Eglantine et
Movar vivent en Bretagne, près de la Baie de Quiberon. Movar est conférencier,
et son épouse lui inspire ses sujets. Tchang, un ethnologue chinois venu
étudier les peuplades bretonnes, vit chez eux. Ils reçoivent souvent la visite
du Dr O’Zoot, qui ne se déplace qu’en deux chevaux Citroën, un modèle ancien
qu’il a adapté pour pouvoir se téléporter entre le Pital, au Mexique, et la
Bretagne où il vit. La vie de ces 4 amis serait bien calme si un jour, un
voyageur spatio-temporel n’avait débarqué chez eux : Panurge, tout droit
sorti d’un roman de Rabelais. Sa franchise et son naturel va révéler bien des
impostures. Et si l’Auteur, qui se targue de tout savoir, était l’imposteur
suprême ? Car de tout ce qui nous arrive, qui peut se targuer d’être
réellement l’auteur ?
Michel Caubet est né à
Bordeaux-Caudéran, Gironde, en 1949 et est agrégé en lettres classiques. Il a
eu une carrière d’enseignant dans l’île de La Réunion de 1993 à 2004, puis en
Nouvelle Calédonie de 2005 à 2009. Il s’intéresse au théâtre en tant qu’acteur,
metteur en scène et auteur depuis 1979 et il continue dans sa retraite
poitevine à Marigny Chemerau. Denis
Lecat est né à Bordeaux-Caudéran, Gironde, en 1962 et est architecte DPLG
indépendant au Bouscat, Gironde

Congress will take place, delayed, virtualized, and digitalized, but it will
take place and it will be historic. A renewal, some may say a Renaissance has
to be programmed and it will take off on March 1st with the General Assembly of
the International Society for Applied Linguistics. A new board of managers or
governors or whatever you may like to call them, from all over the world will
be elected and the mission will be to prepare the 2024 Congress and to open
ISAPL onto the world it does not yet touch, thinking of Asia and Africa. An
enormous task on the table, or the desktop. Get involved and at least
interested. You will be welcome.

Discussion: The future of teaching and learning in
this age of Artificial Intelligence and digital direct immediate real-time
communication requires a complete rethinking of anything having to do with the
psyche and the mind, here psycholinguistics. How can we make our approach of

A dramatic Confession
THE NINETEEN STATIONS OF SARAPHIC LOVE
James Crittle, a famous
pilot of the French Air Force, later turned university professor, on February
18, 2015, was found dead in full uniform Rue Montmartre in Paris. He had used
some cyanide to put an end to his life. The French Air Force took over his funeral
in Bordeaux, but Joseph and Magdalena Seth, two young people who had been his
friends up to three years before when James Crittle stepped out of their life
without any explanation, hearing the news on the radio decided to claim his
body since he had no known direct relatives.
They are entrusted then
with an important envelope addressed to them and that contains the manuscript
of this “Untellable Story” and my name and contact. I had been James Crittle’s
friend some fifty years earlier when I was going to the university and met him
then. He had obviously kept track of me over these years.
I here try to give you
his confession, since he calls it a confession, about his first twenty years in
this life and I just try to put, as far as I can, this text into perspective
with an introduction. Joseph and Magdalena Seth added a short conclusion. Most
of the pictures and illustrations were in the initial envelope. We decided to
use them, with some prudence though because some of the people on these
pictures are totally unknown to us and they were not identified.
We also retained some
documents from East Germany and the USA and his military papers, considering
they had nothing to do with this “Untellable Story.”

Accro Apocalyptique
UNE VASTE HISTOIRE PERSONNELLE
Il y a des années que
je lis cette Apocalypse en anglais, en français, en vieil anglais même, et dans
quelques autres langues. C’est pour moi le texte le plus mystérieux qui soit
car il raconte une histoire très ancienne en l’habillant des couleurs de la
prédiction.
Je vis dans le dragon
autant que dans la bête. Je frémis avec les quatre chevaux et leurs cavaliers.
Je tremble avec Babylone, cette pute céleste et divine, peut-être pas du dieu
des Juifs ou des Chrétiens, mais d’un dieu quelque part dans une quelconque
galaxie. Je halète au sort de la femme enceinte qui porte son destin, et le
texte dit le nôtre aussi, entre ses mains, façon de parler.
J’ai demandé à bien
des compositeurs de mettre cet oratorio en musique, mais ce fut toujours une
œuvre trop importante. J’ai essayé avec Annunzio Coulardeau une production en
direct, en live et en plain air à Olliergues, lui, assurant la sonorisation et
une composition de musique concrète et électronique plus ou moins improvisée.
La première moitié seulement a été produite dans ces conditions.
Certains tremblent à
la religion, d’autre à la longueur, d’autres encore tremblent devant la palette
de voix à réunir, produite, construire, gérer. Et que dire de la musique !
Kévin Thorez s’y est mis
lentement et il aura fallu trois ans pour réussir l’enregistrement, la
composition et le montage. Vous me direz si le texte en vaut la peine, et vous
rechercherez l’enregistrement pour me dire ensuite si la musique emporte bien
l’aventure vers une fin qui, loin d’être salvatrice, est en fait des plus
dramatique, tragique, car on vous raconte ici la fin de l’humanité matérielle
et sa simple survie virtuelle.
Mais est-ce aussi
simple ? Rien n’est jamais aussi simple qu’on le voudrait…

The unnamed character in this long poem is
trying to follow what is happening in his mind after the accident, after he
fell to the ground unconscious when trying to get back up after tying up his
shoe. He is entirely locked up in his own self and he is even seeing himself
from outside himself, he is the watcher, and the watchee is there lying on the
sidewalk and then later on suffering on a hospital bed.
The trauma is deep and brutal and he may have
lost his own mind at some time in this descent into pain, the worst pain being
that he was no longer the master of himself, and yet he fought for some
revival, some responsibility, for some modesty if not bashfulness. Suffering
from being unable to hide, and passing water became an ordeal and he had to do
it in spite of all.
This unnamed character is trying to follow the
strings that are within his reach, trying to re-emerge from this deep traumatic
cesspool in which he is some kind of floating half-rotten piece of wood that is
losing its substance, impregnated with muddy water as it is. He pulls these
strings. They resist. Yet he has to get out of the soup in which he is dissolving.
In his post-traumatic pain and corrugation, he
tries not to get lost in translation as if he would be transmuted into some
vaporous smog in a lightless empty void, floating fleshlessly and mindlessly.
Some recollections resonate in his brain, torturing his desire to just pass
away with the challenge to stand up and howl at his fear, his angst, his
apprehensive revulsion. Going down the road feeling bad in the midnight hour
when pushing the Dreadful Gate open.

This
is the love story of two people who cross all limits of moderation or even intensity to reach beyond into the land where suffering becomes

two, a man and a woman, do not believe one moment they are perverse or
abnormal. They are just doing to each other and to some other more or less,
often less, consenting actors what they see going on in all war zones. For them
life is a war and living is survival, a constant battle against forces that
want their doom, their end, their death.
For
them, both of them who are both dominant and submissive, master and slave or
mistress and slave, suffering is an offering to the person you love, to the
person who loves you. It is an honor just like it was for Jesus to die for his
father and for the sacrificed young men to die for their Sun god, the sun god
of the Mayas or the Aztecs.
Enter
that deep jungle of sorrowful pleasure and blissful pain.
