Xavier Rouard is a scrupulous hunter-gatherer but he remains within the forest that extends over the last 15,000 years, and thus misses the linguistic phylogeny of Homo Sapiens that lasted 300,000 years and started in Black Africa from where we all originated, except those of us who never left it. But to keep to a more recent time, what was the impact of the Neanderthals and the Denisovans on the freshly and greenhorny arriving Homo Sapiens in Europe, Eurasia and Asia? The answer cannot be found after the Peak of the Ice Age because it all happened before, at times long before like in Asia. Just looking at bodies, Astérix is a Homom Sapiens and Obélix is a Neanderthals. And both are probably married to two Denisovan ladies, strangely absent from the tale which is as unreal as the story of Rahan.
