Brown is a master of riddles and other mind-twisters but he is not always that
correct on history and certainly not on science. His advisers are trying to
make him realize a few things but he is, as a character of Stephen King in some
fictional prison would say, slightly obtuse. His interpretation and fictional
use of Malthus is at least not exactly correct. That is good fiction. That is
good thrilling suspense. But that is bad science and even worse politics. After
we have to be satisfied with plain terroristic touristic roaming around. A
cruise on troubled water.
