Gabriel Tallent, the Devil Fallen Down Into "Heaven"
Born From The Barrel of a Machine-Gun

No one can imagine how horrendous this novel dealing with such a subject is: an incestuous father raping his daughter, and then out of incestuous unsatisfied want turning pedophile and raping a grade-school girl. A man addicted to guns of all sorts who inculcated into his daughter the same addiction to the point of being submissive to anything he could ask for and order.
It
is the story of the daughter's escape from this total alienation that makes her
submissive and passive in spite of her split mental personality, and the inner
persona she is manages to win in the end out of pure chance, luck, hazard, in
no way because of a clear-cut and perfectly implemented plan.
The
book though has some shortcomings that make it at times debatable and slightly
too long with an ending that is too short a second beginning.
