1996 the two authors proposed a theory about cave painting in Europe during the
Upper Paleolithic that was both tentative and disturbing, and the field of
archaeology, including in Europe, needed some deep "disturbation" of
the mind to get out of its sterility.
The
book produced the proper effect.
But now we are millennia away with completely new approaches and considerations. That's what I would like to insist on here.
