DANCE TO THE MUSIC, SING IN TEMPO
https://jacquescoulardeau.medium.com/dance-to-the-music-sing-in-tempo-d36b5ac0e874
The film covers nearly thirty years, but we do not see the actors aging, or time going by. Then it is dense and density for dancing is good, even intense, except that the aging Louis XIV is only revealed by his no longer being able to dance what he used to do all the time, twenty years earlier. Even Sun Kings become old and stiff. The Mayas knew that. But apparently, Louis XIV thought he could be eternally young.
There is a heavy allusion to the libertine atmosphere among these artists, Molière, Lully, and a few others. They are more or less adopting the Italian Love of this time, which did not differentiate between genders, at least for males, though they seemed to prefer the girls or the boys they seduced being rather young. That’s how Scapin is attracted to the Turkish galley, though he did not get the young apprentice deckhands, but he was heavily taken advantage of by the older sailors who loved using this white European servant.
We could say “Beware! A deck boy generally hides a perverse adult behind his back.”
But the film practically completely ignores the great Marshals or Generals of Louis XIV, Henri de Turenne, and The Prince of Condé. The Chaplain and Confessor of the king, Bossuet, is not even mentioned, and the political ventures of the kingdom are more or less made volatile. What about the decision that royal justice was to abandon all procedures against witches?
But this film is magnificent with the brilliant costumes, the Versailles and other palace settings, the inebriating lights, and the giddy-making vertigo-generating music. So it is entertaining and maybe even enriching about some details. What about the bagpipe from Auvergne known as the “cabrette” that was transformed for the King’s court into a softer and milder instrument, the “musette de cour” used for court dancing?
That was a very great, contradictory, and oxymoronic century in France AND Europe. We all learned how to dance to the great successes of the King and thus forget the misery of people in some provinces. Remember Twist Again, not so long ago.

THE TRUMP CARD OF A MUSKY RAT
ONCE A DICTATOR, ALWAYS A
DICTATOR

Citizen Kane is a classic. What makes a classic last beyond its time? Because it can be applied to the present of as many past and future times and situations, and it works perfectly well. This is the case of Citizen Kane. Shot in 1941, it works for Hitler and Mussolini, for Franco and Salazar, and even for Stalin. They are OCD-haunted sick minds and they have to think in collections of what they did, what they stole, what they collected, who they killed after torturing them or having them tortured by some PhDoctors in cruelty, who they even cooked in big ovens where they carbonized them into ashes. Their mind is like a concentration camp or a gulag camp in Siberia. They are books of statistics and they believe they are great if their numbers are big, very big, bigger, biggest.
Read my lips and follow my eyes and you will
find that anyone who menaces millions of people with being terminated, fired,
finished, let go, or cremated physically, morally, or ideologically is the same
OCD-haunted Citizen Kanes of today. One is the phantom of
the X-Formerly-Twitter opera. The other is the ghost of the greatness of
America when they dropped atom bombs on Japan; when they invaded Vietnam; when
they conquered Afghanistan; though they were obliged to run back home in Vietnam
and again in Afghanistan, their tails well squeezed between their legs.
Welcome to the end of the trail of tears that
demonstrated the greatness of the USA dealing with the Native Americans whom
they terminated so long ago. Let’s make America Great Again, and let’s have all
sorts of colored slaves standing at attention and saying “Yes Sir Mister Master
Sir” stoically while receiving a whiplash on every syllable. Beyond that point
democracy, freedom, lilberty, all those concepts from the past are going to
disappear under their hands, their fingers, and probably their feet too.
Welcome to Big Brother’s hell and the
simmering stew of some Supernatural red-haired devil or blonde witch.

Jacques Coulardeau uploaded a paper.
It is high time we go back to Citizen Kane and Orson Welles. Our
world is falling into the hands of one more generation of Citizens who are no
citizens Kane.

Long Voyage from India
Current
Progress in Arts and Social Studies Research
To publish is
getting both easier and more difficult in scientific research, especially if
you work in what used to be called Humanities, and has today taken names like
Social Sciences, anthropology, linguistics, and education. All these subjects
are heavily loaded with political stakes or are read by all sorts of readers
who only want to see political stakes in what has nothing to do with anything but
survival, the survival of the species (not endangered yet), the planet (more
than slightly endangered), the cosmos (definitely changing at very high speed,
even if time units for black holes and millions of years. The universe is expanding,
though we do not know where it came from (the Big Bang was and is a blind
alley), and certainly not where it is going (another big bang, I guess).
In all that I concentrate, in my chapter, on the phylogeny, the sustainable – by definition – emergence and development of the practical tool the human species has at their disposal, language and communication, language and conceptualization, language and imagination, even religions, even though people on such side-fields will speak of truthful knowledge. This language does not have any point of origin in Homo Sapiens. Vocal communication existed in previous Hominin species, even in many, if not all, animal species. Even if with insects it is not vocal but it is produced by some other parts of their bodies. Who doesn’t know about the song of cicadas in the Summer?
I have constructed this sustainable emergence on the image, the metaphor of the Trikirion of Symboleracy, the symbolic power of Hominin minds founded on the discriminating and retaining ability of the brain for patterns in all the sensations that reach it.

LYNCHING IN AMERICA, DON’T FORGET THIS HUMAN DISASTER
THE WILLIE LYNCH LETTER AND THE MAKING OF
A SLAVE – AFRICAN TREE PRESS, LONG ISLAND CITY, NY
This book is not
extremely important in its content measured by the number of pages. But it is
capital though in its historical role and value. Willie Lynch is the one who
came from some English-speaking West Indies to Virginia in 1712 and told,
actually taught, the local planters how to traumatize Black slaves into
becoming submissive slaves. The technique is simple and horrible: Frighten them
s**tless, rip a few apart after tarring them with hot tar, feathering them with
chicken feathers and setting them on fire with simple matches, and then let two
horses be tied each one, to one leg, and let them be whipped into running in
opposite directions. The black rebellious individual, still not yet a slave who
will never be a submissive slave, is torn apart like a chicken wishbone. One
should be enough… at least for a while. And it is uneconomical to rip apart too
many of them.
That Willie
Lynch willed his name to the lynching practice. He is a famous person indeed,
and his fame will still last some more centuries.
Apart from that,
the book is a good example of the treatment that lasted from 1619 till January
1865 and the passing of the thirteenth amendment. That’s a very long time and
that kind of trauma is bound to survive the abolition of slavery for a long
time, especially since it will take another full century to finally give the
descendants of the Black slaves the right to vote and full protection of the
law in 1964-65, and yet the fourteenth amendment gave them the full protection
of the law and the fifteenth amendment gave them the right to vote just after
the Civil War.
Some practices
are die-hard habits with the exploiters of other human beings reduced to
chattel.
At least you
will understand what Post Traumatic Slavery Disorder or Syndrome is and you
might realize that full healing is still not quite reached for some of these
descendants of the slaves. By the way, this Post Traumatic Slavery Disorder, or
Syndrome, is the absolute proof that behavior is transmitted from parents to
children, from social environment to children. Those who negate that fact in
the name of freedom and because Skinner made it a hateful segregationist
principle, are wrong, be they called Noam Chomsky, Jeff Hawkins, or Ray
Kurzweil. When we understand that PTSlaveryD/S we can then look for a cure and
bring these descendants finally back into our society and out of the pale of
their history without burning their heritage.
Behavior is not
the sole result of mentally free “intelligent” choices. Still, it is alas,
three times alas, the result of die-hard habits transmitted from one generation
to the next, not genetically but educationally, ideologically, religiously,
etc.
